Cathell, a left-handed hitter, has a strong bat and can hit the ball anywhere. He hits for power and always finds a way to get on base. Cathell is looked to backup a solid outfield as well as get some key starts at first base.

2005: Hit .290 (31-107) in 39 games...was third on the team in runs scored (17) while driving in nine of them...recorded one homerun...reached base via walk nine times and was 3-3 in stolen bases...had a fielding percentage of .970 with only two errors the entire season.

2004: Hit .314 (50-159) in 48 games...was second on the team in average, walks (23) and hits (50)...recorded a team-high 31 runs scored and had a on-base percentage of .414...led the team with 271 putouts and a .986 fielding percentage.

2003: Hit .309 (34-110) in 37 games...was second on team in average, runs scored (34), and RBI's (16)...led the team with 255 putouts and a .981 fielding percentage...reached base via the walk eight times, was successful on two of his three stolen base attempts...recorded his first career hit in his first career game against Norfolk State...Made all-MEAC second team.

High School/Club Team: Cathell earned varsity letters in baseball, basketball and soccer at Delmar High School...selected to the All-Henlopen first team for baseball in 1999 and 2000...as a goalkeeper in soccer he had over 300 saves as he led his team to the Henlopen South Championships in 1998 and 1999...he was named to the All-Henlopen first team in 1998, 1999, and 2000 as a goalkeeper.
