Season Outlook:
Maher returns as starting centerfielder and captain in his fourth year in a hawk uniform. He is an outstanding athlete with great speed and a good arm which will help him lead a solid outfield. He will be counted on to produce offensively as well as continue his solid play at centerfield. He will split time with Jackson in the leadoff spot and will have no trouble getting his bat on the ball or getting on base.

Maher, who earned varsity letters in football, indoor track and baseball at Wicomico High School, led his football and baseball teams to top finishes in conference all four years...He was named to the All-Bayside team in both baseball and football as he hit .330 at Wicomico...Also was selected to the All-Mason Dixon Football team and named Special Teams Player of the Year...Plays club baseball with the Salisbury Rockets in the Eastern Shore Baseball League. Was a member of the National Honor Society as a junior and senior and was also awarded the academic achievement award during all four years.
