HAMPTON, Va. - On the road again for their second Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) match-up the Lady Hawks of the University of Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES) fell 7-0 to Hampton University. The Lady Pirates shut out UMES at virtually every spot with the exception of No. 4 singles as Brigette Squire fell 6-1, 6-0 to Maya Morgan. Hampton took the first, second, third and fifth singles wins by scores of 6-0, 6-0. They also shut out the Lady Hawks in doubles action 8-0 at number one and two. Hampton won No. 6 and No. 3 doubles by default. The women are in action on Saturday, March 29 at Bowie State and on Sunday at Lafayette College. |
